Are all astigmatism contact lenses firmer in the middle than the outsides?

Question by Amanda: Are all astigmatism make contact with lenses firmer in the middle than the outsides?
I commenced out with just normal acuve oasis lenses and they have been entirely gentle. But then I received my perscription lenses for astigmatism and the middle of the lenses are more difficult and they wont stick to my finger as nicely. Is this typical?
