Q&A: what must fuel fired water heaters in a garage be so that gasoline vapors not be ignited?

Question by James B: what need to gasoline fired drinking water heaters in a garage be so that gasoline vapors not be ignited?

Best solution:
Reply by smart_gentlemanIs dependent on the State Plumbing codes. In Florida, gas water heaters had been required to be put in on stands at minimum eighteen" off the floor. This (and I question any other codes) had absolutely nothing to do with gas stored in a garage with the heater. I would not do it.
